Designed for the future
An Innovative New Chapter
For the past 20 years, Robinson Gray has thrived in the restored circa-1913 building we’ve called our home. As our firm continues to grow, we look to the future. In 2022, we will move into WestLawn, a unique space in the BullStreet District, just a few miles away from our current office in the Vista. Constructed of cross-laminated timber, WestLawn will be the first office building of its kind in Columbia and the largest such building in South Carolina. With this move, we look forward to celebrating our city’s history in a new way — and being a part of its dynamic future.

Where History, Nature, and Tech Meet
The BullStreet District is an active transformation of the historic, 181-acre South Carolina State Hospital campus into a vibrant, mixed-use lifestyle development in downtown Columbia, S.C. Blending 200-year-old historic buildings with walkable streets, residential areas, and outdoor spaces, BullStreet is the state’s first urban gigabit community. The district is the largest urban redevelopment project on the East Coast, and has already attracted tech-driven entrepreneurs and Fortune 500 companies. It is anchored by Columbia’s minor-league baseball team in its award-winning stadium, Segra Park.
An Energized Workspace
Inspired by nature, craft, and a timeless and classic design approach, Robinson Gray’s new office will make abundant use of natural light, exposed wood building elements, and a rooftop terrace and garden. The office’s floorplan, combined with gigabit internet speed, the latest law firm technology, and a rooftop café, will enhance workflow and collaboration and elevate our client services and clientexperience. The building’s mass timber framework allows for solid construction and modern design. As the only structural commercial building material that is a sustainable and renewable resource, it’s also environmentally responsible. More about mass timber buildings here.
Robinson Gray is pleased to collaborate with the globally renowned architectural firm, Perkins and Will, and Hughes Development Corporation, master developer of the BullStreet District, to make WestLawn a reality.
We are excited to move into this vibrant environment that will seamlessly blend life, work, leisure and community. We look forward to sharing the energy and innovation of our new workspace with you soon. Stay tuned for details of our progress and timeline.
