Court Walsh of Robinson Gray appointed to S.C. Contractor’s Licensing Board
COLUMBIA, S.C. – Court Walsh, a member of Robinson Gray law firm, has been appointed by Gov. Henry McMaster to the South Carolina Contractor’s Licensing Board.
The board regulates the licensing, certification or registration of general and mechanical contractors, construction managers, burglar alarm and fire alarm contractors, fire sprinkler contractors, and the boiler safety program.
Court’s term on the board runs through the end of 2028.
The scope of the board’s authority is within the focus of Court’s legal work, as his practice areas include administrative and regulatory law, construction litigation, and insurance. He has handled complex litigation matters at various levels and has litigated and consulted on matters pertaining to construction projects, energy, the environment, and insurance.
Court graduated summa cum laude from the Citadel in 2001, earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Florida in 2004, and has a LL.M. degree from Harvard Law School. He is licensed to practice in both Florida and South Carolina and is an active member of the bar in both states.
He is retired as a lieutenant colonel United States Marine Corps Reserve. He joined Robinson Gray as a member in July 2024.
