COLUMBIA, S.C.-Bill Metzger, a member of Robinson Gray law firm, has been named the 2027 Lawyer of the Year for Columbia in the area of Banking and Finance Law by The Best Lawyers in America®.

Bill was one of 33 at Robinson Gray recognized by Best Lawyers for 2027, and one of two to receive a Lawyer of the Year designation. This honor is reserved for individuals who receive the highest overall peer feedback for a specific practice area and geographic region. Only one lawyer is named “Lawyer of the Year” in each practice area and location.

Bill was also honored in the areas of Bankruptcy and Creditor Debtor Rights/Insolvency and Reorganization Law and Business Organizations (including LLCs and Partnerships). He was previously named Lawyer of the Year for Banking and Finance Law in 2019, 2023, and 2025.
