COLUMBIA, S.C. – The South Carolina Bar Young Lawyers Division (YLD) has recognized Robinson Gray associates Macy Cooper and Sheniya Marshall with its “Star of the Quarter” award.
The award is given to “members who have unselfishly devoted their valuable time to the furtherance of YLD’s initiatives,” said La’Jessica Stringfellow, president of the South Carolina Bar Young Lawyers Division, in a letter announcing the recognition.
Macy serves as co-chair of the YLD’s Wellness Committee, which identifies factors affecting lawyer well-being, recommends programs that promote the health and wellness of Bar members, and educates the bench and bar about wellness issues and available resources. She also serves on the Publications Committee.
Macy’s practice at Robinson Gray focuses on real estate and business law. She earned her Juris Doctor from the University of South Carolina Joseph F. Rice School of Law in 2025. While in law school, she served as president of the Real Estate Law Society, was a Senior Research Editor for the Journal of Law and Education, and held several student government leadership roles, including Associate Justice of the Constitutional Council, senator, and vice chair of the Judiciary Committee.
Sheniya serves as the YLD’s Fifth Circuit representative. She also coaches middle school mock trial through the South Carolina Bar’s Law Related Education Division and is a member of the Practice and Procedure Committee.
Sheniya’s practice at Robinson Gray focuses on litigation involving premises liability, insurance coverage, and products liability. She earned her Juris Doctor from the University of South Carolina Joseph F. Rice School of Law in 2022 with a concentration in children’s law and received the CALI Award of Excellence for Legal Research, Analysis, and Writing. In addition to her leadership within the Bar, she serves on the board of directors of the Midlands Area Consortium for the Homeless and volunteers as a guardian ad litem with Richland County CASA.
