COLUMBIA, S.C. – Becky Lafitte, a member of Robinson Gray law firm, is being honored as Lawyer of the Year by The Best Lawyers in America® in the publication’s 2025 edition.

Not only that, but she received that highest honor in two separate practice areas – Insurance Law and Product Liability Litigation – Defendants.

She was one of 32 at Robinson Gray recognized for 2025. She was one of two to achieve the Lawyer of the Year designation, which is reserved for individuals with the highest overall peer-feedback for a specific practice area and geographic region. Only one lawyer is named “Lawyer of the Year” in each practice area and location. For her, that location is the Columbia area.

In the main Best Lawyers list, Becky was recognized as well in three additional practice areas – Litigation – Construction, Personal Injury Litigation – Defendants, and Transportation Law.

Becky’s practice at Robinson Gray also focuses on litigation involving alternative dispute resolution, construction, dram shops, healthcare, premises liability, and commercial transportation and trucking.

Becky received her Juris Doctor from the University of South Carolina School of Law in 1983. She had graduated from Columbia College in 1977, and earned a Master of Arts in Teaching from USC.

In addition to being honored in the past by Best Lawyers in America and Super Lawyers, she has received the Platinum Compleat Lawyer Award, which is awarded to particularly accomplished alumni of the University of South Carolina School of Law.
