COLUMBIA, S.C. – Becky Laffitte, a member of Robinson Gray law firm, is one of the recipients of the 2023 South Carolina Lawyers Weekly Leadership in Law Awards.

This is an annual award that “celebrates lawyers who are setting the standard for other lawyers.” It recognizes such accomplishments as outstanding contributions to the practice of law in South Carolina, leadership in improving the justice system, acting as role models and mentors, and making essential contributions to South Carolina’s legal community and/or the community at large.

Recipients will be honored September 21 at the DoubleTree by Hilton in Columbia.

Becky’s practice at Robinson Gray focuses on litigation involving alternative dispute resolution, construction, dram shops, healthcare, insurance coverage, premises liability, product liability, and commercial transportation and trucking.

She is a fellow of both the American College of Trial Lawyers and the Litigation Counsel of America. She is a member of the International Association of Defense Counsel and the American Board of Trial Advocates. Becky is also a member of the John Belton O’Neall Inn of Court and the National Academy of Distinguished Neutrals (NADN), among other professional associations.

Becky received her Juris Doctor from the University of South Carolina School of Law in 1983. She had graduated from Columbia College in 1977, and earned a Master of Arts in Teaching from USC.

In the past year, she has also been honored by Best Lawyers in America and Super Lawyers, and received the Platinum Compleat Lawyer Award, which is awarded to particularly accomplished alumni of the University of South Carolina School of Law.
