Robinson Gray’s Stringfellow receives law school’s Silver Compleat Lawyer Award
COLUMBIA, S.C. – La’Jessica Stringfellow, an associate attorney at Robinson Gray law firm, has been honored with the University of South Carolina Joseph F. Rice School of Law’s Silver Compleat Lawyer Award.
She was recognized on April 10 at an award ceremony held at the South Carolina State Museum.
Established in 1992, the Compleat Lawyer Awards are given each year to nine distinguished alumni from the law school, recognizing their exceptional civic and professional achievements. The awards are presented in three categories based on years of practice, with the Silver Medallion awarded to those with less than 14 years of experience who have exhibited the highest standards of professional competence, ethics, and integrity. La’Jessica was nominated by several of her peers, including Robinson Gray partner Rob Tyson.
The awards’ selection committee consists of leaders from the highest level of the legal profession in South Carolina, including the chief justice of both the S.C. Supreme Court and S.C. Court of Appeals, the president of the state Bar, the president of the Law School Alumni Council, the president of the Young Alumni Council, and the dean of the USC School of Law.
La’Jessica is a native of Chester, S.C. and graduated magna cum laude from Virginia State University in 2011, receiving a bachelor’s degree in public relations and a minor in English. After earning her Juris Doctor from the University of South Carolina School of Law in 2015, she clerked for the Honorable John Cannon Few of the South Carolina Court of Appeals and the South Carolina Supreme Court. She then served as assistant solicitor with the 11th Judicial Circuit Solicitor’s office before joining Robinson Gray.
La’Jessica’s practice at Robinson Gray is focused on business and commercial litigation and administrative and regulatory litigation. She is very active in the South Carolina Bar Association where she is President Elect of the Young Lawyers Division and Chair Elect of the Diversity Committee. She is also an ABA Section of Litigation managing director for Chair Larry Kristinik. She has previously served in various leadership capacities, including serving on the South Carolina Access to Justice Commission and the ABA Young Lawyers Division.
