COLUMBIA, S.C. – Columbia Business Monthly has named Sarah Frierson, an attorney with Robinson Gray Stepp & Laffitte, LLC, to its 2024 roster of the Best and Brightest community leaders under 35.

The recognition is meant to honor “outstanding young leaders for their professional and community contributions.” This year’s honorees are highlighted in the magazine’s September issue and will be celebrated with an awards ceremony on September 17th in Columbia.

“We’ve known Sarah was one of the best and brightest ever since she joined our firm,” said Cal Watson, the law firm’s managing member. “It’s wonderful to see her recognized for her impact both in the community and to our profession.”

Sarah graduated from Clemson University in 2016 with a bachelor’s degree in marketing. She received her Juris Doctor in 2020 from the University of South Carolina School of Law, where she graduated magna cum laude and was the Associate Managing Editor of the South Carolina Law Review. She clerked for the Honorable John Cannon Few of the Supreme Court of South Carolina from 2020 to 2022.

Her practice at Robinson Gray is focused on appellate advocacy, business and commercial litigation, administrative and regulatory litigation, and estate litigation. Sarah’s business litigation practice includes a wide variety of business disputes, including contractual disputes as well as legal actions between members of limited liability companies. She has written numerous appellate briefs on a variety of legal issues.

Sarah is a board member of the South Carolina Chapter of the Federal Bar Association and is a member of the Richland County Bar Association and the South Carolina Defense Trial Attorneys’ Association. She volunteers her time serving on both the Cinderella Project and Membership Events committees of the South Carolina Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Division.
