Tina Cundari elected chair-elect of Big Brothers Big Sisters
COLUMBIA, SC –Sowell Gray Stepp & Laffitte, LLC attorney Tina Cundari has been elected chair-elect of the board of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Columbia.
The purpose of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Columbia is to help children reach their potential through professionally supported, one-to-one mentoring relationships.
The organization strives to provide mentors to all children who want them and to contribute to brighter futures, better schools, and stronger communities.
Cundari has served on the board since 2008. Her term as chair will begin in 2012.
A 2003 graduate of the University of North Carolina School of Law and a 1996 graduate of the College of Charleston, Cundari says Big Brothers Big Sisters is a cause dear to her heart because she has benefited personally from having great mentors. “I do not know where I would be if it were not for the many mentors who have reached down and helped me along the way. It is my responsibility to give back, and serving on the board of Big Brothers Big Sisters allows me to do that.”
Cundari has a history of involvement with the Midland’s youth. For two years she was co-chair of the South Carolina Bar Young Lawyers Division’s Cinderella Project, a project that collects gently used formal wear and donates it to high school girls who cannot afford a prom dress.
At Sowell Gray, her practice areas are commercial litigation and business dispute resolution and appellate advocacy.
