Robinson Gray’s Ashley Lamb to participate in Riley Institute Diversity Leaders Initiative
COLUMBIA, S.C. – Ashley Lamb, Robinson Gray law firm’s manager of HR programs and diversity and inclusion coordinator, is one of 39 to be invited to participate in the 14th Midlands class of the Riley Institute’s Diversity Leaders Initiative.
The Riley Institute at Furman started the DLI in 2003. The program’s more than 2,400 graduates have included a wide array of business, governmental and community leaders committed to advancing social and economic progress in South Carolina.
The program equips participants with tools and perspectives to leverage diversity to improve organizational outcomes and drive social and economic progress in South Carolina.
“As society continues to face enormous challenges on multiple fronts in 2022, leaders must come together to identify ways to unite communities in the pursuit of improved outcomes for all,” said Don Gordon, executive director of the Riley Institute. “The participants in this class will gain unique frameworks and tools as they lead South Carolina toward a better tomorrow.”
DLI class members are chosen through a rigorous application and interview process after being nominated by existing graduates of the program, known as Riley Fellows. Participants are accepted based on their capacity to create impact within their organizations and communities. Each class is crafted to reflect the diverse demographics of South Carolina.
Class members take part in a highly interactive curriculum consisting of case studies, scenario analyses, and other experiential learning tools that maximize interaction and discussion among classmates and facilitate productive relationships. Working in groups, they also develop a project that raises awareness of community need. Learn more: https://www.furman.edu/riley/.
Ashley Lamb earned her bachelor’s degree in business administration from the Darla Moore School of Business at the University of South Carolina in 2004. She started working at the firm while still a student. She has worked in firm operations ever since graduation, in marketing as well as her current duties.
“We’re very proud of all Ashley has done at Robinson Gray to advance the causes of diversity and inclusion, which are very important to us,” said Cal Watson, the law firm’s managing member. “We know she will benefit from the Riley program, and the other participants will learn from her experiences as well.”
