Amy Hill becomes president of Richland County Bar

Sowell Gray Stepp & Laffitte, LLC is pleased to announce attorney Amy Hill was sworn in as president of the Richland Bar on December 12, 2013. Hill has served on the Richland County Bar executive committee since 2010.

“We congratulate Amy as she assumes the office of President of the Richland County Bar,” said managing member and president-elect of the South Carolina Bar, Cal Watson. “Her professionalism, leadership, and service in both the legal community and the community at large make her a tremendous asset to the Bar.”

Hill’s recent accomplishments include receiving the James Petigru Compleat Lawyer Award Silver Medallion in April of this year. The award is presented to those who have practiced less than 14 years and goes only to those who exemplify the highest standards of professional competence, ethics and integrity.

Hill is a graduate of Clemson University with a degree in accounting. Her practice at Sowell Gray focuses on professional liability and ethics; probate and estate litigation; commercial and business dispute resolution; and appellate advocacy.
