Amy Hill honored among top female litigators

COLUMBIA, SC – Amy L.B. Hill, of counsel with Sowell, Gray Stepp & Laffitte, LLC, has been named one of the top female litigators in the country in a new legal publication.

Benchmark Litigation’s Top 250 Female Litigators in America aims to celebrate the contributions that women make to the legal profession and to highlight their work in the courtroom.

The attorneys were selected for inclusion after extensive client and peer interviews.

The guide will be distributed with the main Benchmark: Litigation book in September, and at key events such as the National Association of Women Lawyers Annual Meeting and the ABA Annual Meeting in Chicago.

It’s not the first time Benchmark has noticed Hill. Last fall, she was highlighted as a “future legal star” in Benchmark: Litigation.

Hill is a graduate of Clemson University and the University of South Carolina School of Law. She currently chairs the South Carolina Bar’s Unauthorized Practice of Law Committee. She served on the Bar’s Ethics Advisory Committee from 2006-08 and currently is a member of the South Carolina Bar Professional Responsibility Committee. She also serves on the Richland County Bar Executive Committee.

Hill’s practice at Sowell Gray focuses on professional liability and ethics; probate and estate litigation; commercial litigation and business dispute resolution; and appellate advocacy.
