Bobby Stepp receives Trial and Appellate Advocacy Award from SC Bar
Sowell Gray Stepp & Laffitte, LLC is pleased to announce the South Carolina Bar honored Bobby Stepp with the Trial and Appellate Advocacy Award during its annual convention this past weekend.
The award is given to lawyers who demonstrate outstanding commitment to trial and appellate advocacy in the legal profession. Not given every year, but only when worthy candidates are nominated, the award recognizes those who have dedicated themselves to the furtherance of the art and techniques of trial and appellate advocacy in South Carolina.
“Receiving this award from the South Carolina Bar is a high honor, especially since it is recognition from my colleagues and fellow lawyers,” said Stepp.
A founding member of the firm, Stepp is a graduate of the University of South Carolina School of Law, where he was a member of the Order of the Wig and Robe and served on the South Carolina Law Review. He has been listed in Best Lawyers in America since 2005 in the area of commercial litigation and was recently selected a Top Rated Lawyer in Commercial Litigation by Litigation Special Report. Stepp is a Fellow of the American College Trial Lawyers and a recipient of the Compleat Lawyer Award Gold Medallion. He served on the Board of Directors of the South Carolina Philharmonic for nearly a decade and as board president in 2007 and 2008.
