COLUMBIA, S.C. – Members Grady Beard and Paul Hoefer have been named to the executive committee of Robinson Gray law firm. Grady is returning to the committee after a three-year hiatus.

They join Managing Member Cal Watson and Member Michael Montgomery on the committee. Their terms will last two years.

The firm’s 27 members have full authority over the LLC’s affairs. However, to facilitate management and administration, they delegate certain powers and duties to the managing member and an executive committee, who are elected at the annual meeting.

Grady’s practice with Robinson Gray focuses on workers’ compensation, workers’ compensation mediation, and appellate advocacy. He is a co-author of the seventh edition of The Law of Workers’ Compensation Insurance in South Carolina. Grady is also a Fellow in the College of Workers’ Compensation Lawyers and is a firm member of the National Workers’ Compensation Defense Network. He is Immediate Past President of the South Carolina Workers’ Compensation Educational Association, is active in the South Carolina Defense Trial Attorneys’ Association, DRI, and has been consistently recognized by Best Lawyers and South Carolina Super Lawyers as a workers’ compensation defense attorney.

Paul is an experienced commercial litigator who focuses his practice on resolving creditor-debtor relationships, real estate litigation, and business disputes.  He is recognized by Best Lawyers for Commercial Litigation, Banking and Finance Litigation, and Real Estate Litigation and by South Carolina Super Lawyers for Creditor Debtor Rights. Paul is a past chairman of the Emerging Leaders Advisory Board of Meritas, an invitation-only alliance of business law firms that connects clients to high-quality, affiliate lawyers throughout the U.S. and worldwide.
