Haigler joins Kids’ Chance of South Carolina Board of Directors

COLUMBIA, SC – Sowell Gray Stepp & Laffitte, LLC attorney Nicolas L. Haigler has become a member of the board of directors of Kids’ Chance of South Carolina, an organization dedicated to helping children of workers killed or seriously injured on the job continue their educations.

Since 1993, Kids’ Chance has awarded more than $700,000 in scholarships that have helped students continue their educations.
Recipients have ranged from the child of a nurse killed while helping a fellow motorist to the family of grocery store employee shot three times during a robbery.

Kids’ Chance supports the scholarships through donations and fund-raisers held throughout the year. As a board member, Haigler will help make sure Kids’ Chance has the resources it needs to help deserving students.

Haigler is a Midlands native and graduate of the Mississippi College School of Law. He joined Sowell Gray in September 2007. In addition to serving on the Kids’ Chance board, he’s been a member of the Leadership Columbia board since 2010. He also volunteers his legal services with Hannah House, a faith-based transitional housing facility serving women and their children from Columbia and the surrounding communities.
