Haley Saxby of Robinson Gray to participate in Leadership Columbia
COLUMBIA, S.C. – Haley Saxby, an associate attorney with Robinson Gray law firm, has been accepted into the 2024 class of Leadership Columbia. The program begins in August 2023.
Leadership Columbia is a program offered by the Columbia, S.C., Chamber of Commerce to nurture and engage the leadership skills of current and potential leaders by providing opportunities for professional development, community involvement and networking.
The 10-month program includes a required two-day retreat, nine monthly day-long sessions, a collaborative class project, and a variety of enrichment activities all designed to educate participants on critical issues facing the community while providing opportunities for deeper involvement. Topics include education, politics and government, arts and culture, economic development, health and human services, criminal justice and law enforcement, military affairs, recreation, and the environment and tourism.
Each year about 60 local leaders are selected to participate. Upon graduation, participants are invited and encouraged to join the more than 2,000 alumni serving the Midlands and communities all over the United States.
Haley’s participation continues a Robinson Gray tradition of attorney involvement in the program including recent graduates La’Jessica Stringfellow (class of 2022), Lisle Traywick (2020), Rachel Hutchens (2019), and Nick Haigler (2010), who is also former chair of the Leadership Columbia Advisory Board.
Haley Saxby focuses her practice primarily on litigation matters involving premises liability, automobile torts and insurance coverage, and products liability.
She grew up in Irmo, and earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of South Carolina Honors College in 2017. She earned her Juris Doctor from the University of South Carolina School of Law in 2020, graduating magna cum laude and finishing in the top five of her class.
Haley was a law clerk at Robinson Gray for two years before joining the firm in 2020, and for several years she served as assistant cross-country and track and field coach at Dutch Fork High School.
