Hill becomes a member of Sowell Gray
Amy Hill, an attorney with Sowell Gray Stepp & Laffitte, LLC, has become the firm’s newest member.
“Amy is a proven leader, both at the firm and in the legal community,” said managing member Cal Watson. “We are extremely pleased to elect as a member someone with such outstanding professional and civic accomplishments. Her dedication is an asset to our practice.”
Hill, who grew up in Mt. Pleasant, earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Clemson University in 1996 and her law degree from the University of South Carolina School of Law in 2000. She recently received the James Petigru Compleat Lawyer Award Silver Medallion, presented to those who have practiced less than 14 years and exemplify the highest standards of professional competence, ethics and integrity. Hill was also named a South Carolina Super Lawyer® Rising Star for 2012 – 2013 in the area of business litigation. She is the newly elected president of the Richland County Bar.

Her practice at Sowell Gray focuses on professional liability and ethics; probate and estate litigation; commercial and business dispute resolution; and appellate advocacy.
