Sowell Gray Named a Columbia Green Business

Columbia City Council recognized the law firm of Sowell Gray Stepp & Laffitte, LLC as a City of Columbia Green Business at its City Council meeting on Wednesday, April 15, 2009.  Sponsored by the city’s Climate Protection Action Committee, the Green Business program recognizes businesses that operate in an environmentally friendly manner and encourage other businesses to adopt green business practices.  As a City of Columbia Green Business, Sowell Gray has implemented a number of steps to recycle, reuse, and reduce the resources it uses to operate.

“At Sowell Gray, we want to help lead the way to encourage local businesses to become more environmentally responsible,” said Cal Watson, Managing Member of Sowell Gray Stepp & Laffitte. “We hope others will also make an effort to reduce their carbon footprint. Everyone can make small changes now that will make a big difference in the future.”
