La’Jessica Stringfellow Begins Term as President of SC Bar Young Lawyers Division

COLUMBIA, S.C. – La’Jessica Stringfellow, a lawyer at Robinson Gray law firm, has started her term as President of the South Carolina Bar Young Lawyers Division. Her term will run for one calendar year and conclude in June 2026.

The Young Lawyers Division (YLD) is comprised of more than 4,000 South Carolina Bar members who are under the age of 36 or have been admitted to practice within the past five years. Founded to promote professional responsibility, public service, and the development of early-career attorneys, the Division carries out its mission through committees, service projects, and professional programming.

A longtime leader within the SC Bar, La’Jessica has served as YLD Secretary-Treasurer, Chair-Elect of the Diversity Committee, and as a member of the Nominating Committee. She was honored with the YLD President’s Award in 2022 for her outstanding contributions. The year prior, Chief Justice Donald W. Beatty appointed her to a three-year term on South Carolina’s Access to Justice Commission, which works to ensure that all South Carolinians—regardless of income, background, or circumstances—can access the state’s legal system.

At Robinson Gray, La’Jessica’s practice focuses on business and commercial litigation, as well as administrative and regulatory matters. Her work has earned recognition from Best Lawyers in America, South Carolina Super Lawyers, the American Bar Association, and others. Most recently, she received the University of South Carolina School of Law Alumni Association’s Silver Compleat Lawyer Award.

“La’Jessica leads with purpose and heart and will no doubt make a meaningful impact in this position,” said Cal Watson, the firm’s managing member. “We are proud to support her as she begins this important chapter with the South Carolina Bar.”

A native of Chester, South Carolina, La’Jessica earned her Juris Doctor from the University of South Carolina School of Law. Before joining Robinson Gray, she served as an assistant solicitor with the 11th Judicial Circuit Solicitor’s Office, prosecuting domestic violence, sexual assault, and other violent crimes.
