Shannon Poteat joins Stanford Lacy Workers’ Compensation Inn of Court

COLUMBIA, S.C. – Shannon Poteat, a member of Robinson Gray law firm, has been elected to join the Stanford Lacy Workers’ Compensation American Inn of Court.

She was selected to become a Master of the Bench, a member category consisting of attorneys with at least ten years of workers’ compensation experience, plus law professors and S.C. Workers’ Compensation Commissioners.

Started just last year, The Inn is one of only nine in the nation dedicated exclusively to the practice of workers’ compensation law. Membership is by invitation only and members are selected based on their leadership and character.

Robinson Gray members Nick Haigler and Grady Beard are also members of the Inn, with Nick serving as treasurer.

Like Nick and Grady, Shannon’s practice at Robinson Gray is focused on workers’ compensation and workers’ compensation mediation. She helped write The Law of Workers’ Compensation in South Carolina, Second, Third, Fourth, and Fifth Editions, is a member of the South Carolina Workers’ Compensation Educational Association, and has been consistently recognized by Best Lawyers for her work in Workers’ Compensation Law.

“It is very gratifying to see Shannon join Nick and Grady in this Inn of Court,” said Cal Watson, managing member of Robinson Gray. “It testifies to the growing understanding of our firm’s leadership in the area of workers’ comp.”
