Robinson Gray is seeking an experienced, smart, detail-oriented individual with strong organizational skills for a legal assistant position on its Business Team. Interested candidates should have at least two years’ experience and must have excellent written/oral communication skills and inter-personal skills. Interested candidates should also be proficient using Microsoft Office, specifically Adobe, Word, and Excel. Experience using various legal software such as iManage, LMS and/or SoftPro is preferred but not required.

Duties would include, but not be limited to the following:

  • Assisting the head of the Business Team in organizing and managing team meetings and events.
  • Assisting other lawyers on the Business Team in their practice areas
  • Drafting transmittal letters and assisting in organizing and monitoring deadlines/schedules
  • Assisting in various practice areas of the Business Team, including but not limited to commercial real estate transactions, corporate advice/transactions and workout/bankruptcy related matters
  • Compiling digital closing binders and other document packages
  • Ordering and conducting corporate record searches, UCC searches, lien searches, and title searches online and in person and drafting memos detailing results
  • Filing and recording documents with the Secretary of State and County Registers of Deeds online and in person.
  • Communicating with clients and outside counsel
  • Communicating with offices of the Secretary of State, Registers of Deeds, and other governmental units regarding filings and other matters.
  • Drafting engagement letters.
  • Assisting attorneys with pre- and post-closing due diligence matters, including following up on outstanding post-closing items
  • Calendaring deadlines
  • Attending closings and witnessing and notarizing documents
  • Providing administrative and other support as needed

Robinson Gray is looking for a Full Time Paralegal to join our busy Workers’ Compensation Team. The candidate will be responsible for handling claims from inception through resolution. The position entails extensive contact with clients, attorneys, insurance adjustors, and medical providers. Duties & responsibilities include: Opening new files; gather and analyze intake information and relevant documents; fully investigate each case; maintain contact with clients on regular basis; prepare documents and correspondence; collect documentation of all damages sustained such as medical records, bills and loss of income; read and interpret medical records and reports; organize and maintain case files. 2+ years of knowledge in personal injury/workers compensation preferred. Must: be able to jump into an existing caseload and move cases forward; have strong work ethic and be able to work well in a fast pace environment; have great people skills as the position requires a great deal of client contact; be able to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines; have exceptional communication and written skills; have computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Word and legal software. Experience billing time is preferred.
