Attorneys
Adam focuses his practice on taxation and commercial transactions.
Adam holds both bachelor’s and master’s degrees in accounting from Clemson University and earned his Juris Doctor cum laude from the University of South Carolina Joseph F. Rice School of Law in 2023. While in law school, he received CALI Awards for excellence in Drafting Business Agreements and International Business Transactions, served as a research editor for the Journal of Law and Education, and was a tax research assistant.
In 2025, Adam earned an LL.M. in Taxation from the University of Florida Levin College of Law.
Before joining Robinson Gray, Adam worked as an accountant for more than two years and then as an associate attorney. As a licensed CPA in South Carolina, he brings valuable insight into accounting and tax law to his legal practice.
- Represented various types of businesses during all stages of their organizational life, including structuring and documenting entity formation, ownership and control arrangements, ownership transitions, and separation transactions, and advising taxable and tax-exempt organizations on federal and state tax matters.
- Represented clients in several merger and acquisition transactions ranging from the hundreds of thousands to fifty million dollars and provided related advice to efficiently structure the transactions for tax purposes.
- Counseled family-owned businesses regarding business continuity planning and related family wealth transfers.
- Advised members and managers of limited liability companies and officers and directors of corporations regarding their duties, obligations, and liabilities, and other company governance issues.
- Counseled beneficiaries regarding their rights during probate and trust administration and assisted with negotiating and mediating family settlement agreements among beneficiaries.
- Advised personal representatives of estates, including taxable estates, and trustees of trusts regarding their fiduciary duties and obligations during probate and trust administration.
- Represented clients in the formation of nonprofits and filing of applications for tax-exempt status with the Internal Revenue Service.
- Advised owners of various types of taxable organizations regarding elections to minimize and defer taxes.
