Cordes primarily focuses his practice on healthcare malpractice, professional liability, products liability, dram shop, and general litigation.

He has experience representing both national and local manufacturers, as well as medical providers, retailers, and professionals of all types. Cordes is involved in the South Carolina Defense Trial Attorneys’ Association, the Defense Research Institute, and was selected as a 2025 South Carolina Super Lawyers Rising Star in products liability and medical malpractice.

Cordes earned his J.D. with honors from the University of South Carolina School of Law in 2015. While in law school, he was the Senior Articles Editor for the South Carolina Law Review, a member of Phi Delta Phi Legal Honor Society, and was a CALI Award Recipient for Secured Transactions and Advanced Legal Writing. He is also an Eagle Scout.

Outside of the office, Cordes enjoys spending time with his wife, son, and two dogs, cooking barbecue, and cheering on the Clemson Tigers and Atlanta Braves.
